Our Commitment

At MAX, we value your loyalty, and the safety and soundness
of your money is our top priority.

Since 1955, we have operated in a conservative manner and our risk management processes have resulted in strong capital and liquidity positions, which will allow us to continue to serve all of our members for many years to come. Your deposits are insured by the National Credit Union Insurance Fund (NCUA) which provides each member with coverage up to at least $250,000. More coverage is available depending on how your accounts are structured. Credit Union Members have never lost a penny of insured savings at a federally insured credit union.

How Credit Union Deposits are Protected by the NCUA.
Created by the U.S. Congress in 1970, the National Credit Union Administration(Opens in a new Window) (NCUA) is an independent federal agency that insures deposits at federally insured credit unions, protects the members who own credit unions, and charters and regulates federal credit unions.

Customers’ deposits are protected by NCUA insurance. In the 53 year history of the NCUA, no one has ever lost a penny of an insured deposit.  The NCUA insures up to $250,000 in eight separate account categories per depositor per bank. The NCUA is completely funded by the credit union industry.  The NCUA consumer website, MyCreditUnion.gov contains a share insurance toolkit  which gives consumers information on share insurance.
