MAX Credit Union Announces 2023 MAX Community Achievement Recipient
MONTGOMERY, AL (December 14, 2023) - MAX Credit Union is pleased to announce one of two MAX Community Achievement recipients, the Boys and Girls Club of the River Region. Through this award, MAX recognizes organizations based on their overall contribution to the community as well as continued efforts to bring people together who are making a positive impact.
The Boys and Girls Club of the River Region is a non-profit organization that focuses on providing programs and tools to lead youth toward a path of success as they develop into young men and women. Not only do they prioritize experiences designed to prepare club participants to be active leaders, but they also offer money management courses so club kids have the necessary skills to be financially independent as they advance into adulthood.
As the recipient of the award, the Boys and Girls Club of the River Region will receive a $7,500.00 donation to further their mission. “This organization is the definition of an impact maker. They are serving youth and providing opportunities to guide young individuals on a path to future leadership. We are honored to recognize the Boys and Girls Club of the River Region as the 2023 MAX Community Achievement recipient,” said MAX CEO, Martin Head.
“We would like to thank MAX Credit Union for naming us the MAX Community Achievement Award winner and presenting $7500 to our organization. With these funds, it will help us provide Educational Programs for our Club members ages 6 -18 years old. This educational program is called Project Learn which provides tutoring, homework help, educational games, and assistance on the computer,”
said Rick Jackson, Chief Executive Officer of the Boys and Girls Club of the River Region.
A reception took place on Monday, November 13, 2023, to recognize the Boys and Girls Club of the River Region. Those in attendance included Boys and Girls Club of the River Region team members and Board of Directors, MAX Credit Union Board of Directors, members of our executive management team, and MAX CEO, Martin Head.
