MONTGOMERY, AL (December 27, 2022) - MAX Credit Union, a local financial institution based in Montgomery, AL, is pleased to announce Alabama Shakespeare Festival as the recipient of the 2022 MAX Community Achievement award. Through this award, MAX recognizes organizations who make an overall contribution to the community by providing impactful resources with an emphasis on youth in the areas we serve. Alabama Shakespeare Festival is a leader in arts and entertainment providing superior theatrical performances for over 50 years. ASF also serves as a local source of arts education to all ages by offering community programs, acting camps for youth where they gain confidence in a creative atmosphere, and Schoolfest Matinees where students from across Alabama are transported into a world of imagination while gaining life lessons.
As the recipient of the award, Alabama Shakespeare Festival will receive a $10,000 donation to assist in efforts furthering their mission. “Alabama Shakespeare Festival is an arts leader, not only for our local community, but for the State of Alabama,” said MAX CEO, Martin Head. “We look forward to celebrating their continued success and are honored to name Alabama Shakespeare Festival as the 2022 MAX Community Achievement recipient.” A check presentation took place at Alabama Shakespeare Festival.
